Farm to Table Experience at a Traditional Estate

Head to a traditional estate and embark on an immersive gastronomical experience with a local chef. It all starts with a poncha, Madeira’s signature drink! Then it’s time to go for a guided visit to the garden, where you will learn how the climate influences the local produce, what are the main ingredients used to prepare the island’s most typical dishes and you will also get to pick some seasonal vegetables and ingredients to prepare your own lunch under the supervision and guidance of the chef.

During the cooking class you’ll help the chef prepare 3 regional dishes made with great seasonal products whilst learning all about Madeira’s gastronomy and the experience finishes with a delicious Madeiran meal paired with local wines. As the name suggests, it is a true farm to table experience!
