Located in Ponta do Pargo, on the west side of Madeira Island, Casa do Pastor owes its name to its original purpose – it was a haystack used by shepherds to keep their flocks and their food. The house was rebuilt maintaining the original stone and the decor merges the typical rustic feel with some modern lines. 

The water flows right through the property thanks to the famous levadas – irrigation channels – and the house is surrounded by green luxurious vegetation, typical of the Laurissilva Forest, and also organic gardens where vegetables and herbs are grown, it’s the perfect place to get immersed in nature with charm. Plus, it’s located at the top of the property so it offers beautiful views over the hills and the immense Atlantic Ocean. Traditions, permaculture and sustainability ensure the harmony and balance with the natural surroundings.

On the ground floor there’s a rustic and fully equipped kitchen that opens up to a dining room with an 8-seat big squared table, a cosy living space with windows overlooking the garden, a flat screen TV and a wood burning stove. Upstairs there are 4 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.

Outside there is a private garden area with a dining table. There’s also an infinity pool, a solarium and a small animal farm space which are shared with the other houses that can be found in the property.
