Cabana Lavanda Comporta conveys the charm of this coastal destination, where rustic simplicity meets modern luxury in an unpretentious and graceful way. This charming villa, inspired by the typical local fishermen huts, translates a new concept of cottage, overlooking Comporta’s rice fields and the sea. Both inside and out, each piece was carefully hand-picked, and not a single detail goes missing, making this villa the ideal place for discerning travelers looking for a special hide-away in Comporta all year round.

The project consists of two cabanas, wrapped around a large sandy garden filled with trees, bushes, flowers, centenary olive trees and the smell of lavender. Its convenient location, within a short walk from the village of Carvalhal and the beach, means there are facilities, services, and attractions on the premises. At the same time, it ensures privacy and seclusion as it was designed with maximum respect for the region and the surrounding vegetation, embracing guests in a green and peaceful natural setting that honors the Sado’s Estuary Natural Reserve.

The main cabana has over 300 square meters and is split into two floors, comfortably accommodating up to 10 people. On the ground floor there’s an airy and ample room, filled with light, that works as the core of the villa. This communal living area, which gives access to the front porch, merges a cozy lounge area decorated with tasteful design pieces and artisan works, and a stylish open plan kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with top appliances, which are hidden from plain sight, and has an island with high stools, working as the perfect setting to socialize whilst preparing meals and show cooking. On the same level there is a bathroom and 3 ensuite bedrooms: a twin bedroom with a bathroom with bathtub; a bedroom with a queen size bed, shower room and direct access to a small porch; a bedroom with a queen size bed that leads to an outside private terrace and with a bathroom with double shower. A modern staircase leads to the upper floor, a mezzanine style area with low ceilings that comprises a living area overlooking the main living space below, and a bedroom with 4 single beds. The main cabana’s front porch faces the garden and is the perfect spot to gather for al fresco meals or just to sit back and relax. Next to the main house there’s also a wooden staircase that leads to an upper deck that offers the most gorgeous views over the rice fields, specially towards sunset. And when it gets dark, there’s a sitting area and a fire pit to share the moments well spent in Comporta.

A wooden walkway connects the main cabana to the second one, similar in style and taste. This smaller unit with 50 square meters ensures extra privacy and is perfect for a couple. The open space combines a queen size bed, a sitting area with a hanging fireplace, a bathroom with bathtub, and a hidden kitchenette equipped with a small fridge and the essentials. This unit can be rented separately, except during peak season.

When the weather is nice and warm, guests can cool off in a modern infinity pool that transfers the atmosphere of the Atlantic to the interior of the house. The swimming pool was designed with a special boomerang shape to respect the pine forest and allows all constructions to enjoy ample privacy surrounded by nature and extraordinary views. Next to the pool there’s also a support bathroom and a laundry room.
