The countryside of Alentejo is a land of traditions and that means there’s a close link to agriculture and farming, but also to the typical arts and crafts. Weaving, carpentry, wickerwork and pottery are still very much alive and having a hands-on experience allows a closer connection to the local artisans and a deeper understanding of their daily lives.
